The fragility of external hard disk drives

In looking over potential companies to purchase an external hard drive from I noticed there are but a few worthwhile selections. These are Western Digital, Maxtor, and Transcend. To be frank, my experience with Western Digital external hard drives also known sometimes and book drives has been somewhat disappointing. The unit’s work well under perfect conditions but the moment one gives them the slightest bump the head of the disk drive seems to freeze up permanently, rendering the unit worthless.

I noticed that Transcend products are built to be a little more durable and I have opted to purchase their external hard drive. Of course Transcend drive products are no more protected from file damage and accidental deletion than any other type of drive. For this problem we must use a program to recover data from external hard drive storage. This will recover deleted files from Transcend drive units as well as those made by all the popular book drive manufacturers.
